dabroots@livejournal.com BioI've lived in many cities and towns*. I currently live in the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh, across the Monongahela River from most of the city. There are many hills and trees, all around me. I moved here on 8/21/09 after two years in the neighboring
Swissvale, Pennsylvania. I share my home with my cat Joe, and sometimes my son, soon to be fourteen years old. Centralia, Illinois is my birthplace, a community of 14,000 that's 270 miles south of Chicago and 70 miles east of St. Louis. For a living, I teach English at two colleges here. I do some writing, most of it here in Live Journal. I also take pictures, some of which occasionally appear here.
I've uploaded images of various sorts into my Live Journal Scrapbook: here and then click in the upper right-hand corner for "next page" to see more. If you see a blank square on scrapbook page but it has a number listed under it, go ahead and click, because there should be at least one image there. Some of the images are photos I've taken, some are scans of objects that I've uploaded, some are photos I've taken of artwork by other people, some are photos and images that I've uploaded from various websites.
