Yet another brick that I photographed Friday afternoon, this one featuring the Supernatural Family Band from the site of the earliest incarnation of Stubb's Bar-B-Q in Lubbock. According to at least one interview in Chris Oglesby's Fire in the Water, Earth in the Air, the Supernatural Family Band grew out of a number of musicians who often spent time at Supernatural Food Store in Lubbock about 35 years ago. I like that story. The music scene around here with Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and others must have been incredible. That little ant hill at the lower left corner of the brick seems somehow appropriate for the name.
